Woman sold alcohol to teens before they were killed in fiery crash

Dallas (NY Daily News): A Texas restaurant worker is accused of selling alcohol to three teenagers the night they were killed in a horrific crash near Dallas, authorities said Thursday.

The woman, 36-year-old Yu Gao, served the minors at a BBQ restaurant in Plano shortly before the crash on Feb. 17, according to police.

Their BMW sedan struck a tree around 3:40 a.m. that day, caught fire and split apart, the Plano Police Department said in a news release.

An investigation later determined that alcohol, along with speed, was a factor in the accident and the woman was charged with three counts of alcohol sale to a minor and one count of sale of an alcoholic beverage during prohibited hours.

The victims were identified as 18-year-old driver Yuxuan Wang and passengers Yuchen Jin, 16, and Jin Chen, 18. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
